Our Story
Founded in 2024 by Tameeka Cooper, “It’s Mommy & Me” is a Black-owned, woman-led organization born from a personal experience as a teenage mother. Initially informal meetups for young mothers, the initiative has grown into a vital support network.
Focusing on mentorship, education, and resources, “It’s Mommy & Me” empowers teen moms to build independent lives and secure bright futures for their families. As a minority-owned business, the organization is dedicated to uplifting underserved communities and celebrating the resilience of young mothers.
It’s Mommy & Me is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to empowering teenage mothers aged 13-19. Our tax-exempt status ensures that every contribution directly support our mission of providing mentorship, education, and essential resources to underserved communities. We focus solely on creating brighter futures for teen mothers and their children.
